On September 16, Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee held a ceremony to hand over the certificate for building an ammonium nitrate plant with capacity of 200 thousand tons per year and other chemical products to the Mining Chemical Industry Company Limited - Vinacomin, the project investor. This is the first project of Vinacomin in the strategic cooperation between the Corporation and Thai Binh province.
According to the certificate of investment, the plant is built by modern technology of Germany, at the Thai Tho industrial park, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province with total investment of USD 280 million. It is expected to start in November this year and finish after 27 months. When going into production (2014), the plant will save huge foreign exchange of ammonium nitrate imports, deliver about 120 billion VND per year to the state budget, attract over 150 workers and bring more economic - social benefits.
